Quebradillas, a haven for nature enthusiasts with its surf culture, beaches and culinary scene, faces challenges due to its remote location, which hinders access to essential services like healthcare and education. Poverty affects about half of Puerto Rico’s population, contributing to childhood trauma and a high number of children in government custody. Send Relief addresses these issues through the Quebradillas Ministry Center, which has facilitated over 300 adoptions, focusing on children with complex trauma. The center, certified in Trust-Based Relational Intervention, specializes in holistic restoration for vulnerable families, offering support for fostering, adoption and addressing poverty and food insecurity, making it a beacon of hope in Puerto Rico.
